Black Tech Launch is a five-day, in-person coding camp. It is free for select candidates so that ability to pay is not the reason someone never gets to try. Your gift is what makes that possible.
Why it matters
What your gift does
Every dollar goes toward running the camp and keeping seats free for the people who are selected. We do not charge tuition.

A seat that costs the participant nothing
Selected candidates attend at no tuition. Donations replace the fee that other programs would charge.

A real classroom for five days
Venue, tables, power, internet, and a space in Las Vegas where people can learn in person — not just watch a video.

Tools to actually write code
Learning materials, software, and loaner laptops for participants who do not have a machine of their own.

Instruction and mentorship
Support for instructors, mentors, and the people who stay in the room so beginners are not left to figure it out alone.

Tax records
What donors receive
You do not receive an IRS tax form from us. Charities do not issue a W-2 or a 1099 for a normal cash gift. What you receive is a written donation receipt — a letter or email that records the organization, the date, and the amount.
We will still email a written receipt for your records. Whether a gift is tax-deductible depends on our status as a qualified charitable organization under U.S. law at the time you give. We will state that clearly on your receipt and update this page when recognition is in place. Please consult a tax advisor about your own situation.
If you received goods or services in return for your gift, the receipt will say so. If you received nothing in return, the receipt will say that too.
